As a young girl I have always like to painted ponies that the Indians rode in the old westerns. My dream as a very young girl was to raise horses, I think my mother thought I was nuts. My first horse was a sorrel & white gelding that my mother bought for me when I was 15. As I got older I had to sell him because of college, apartments and jobs, still liking the painted ponies I hoped that in the future I would be able to raise painted ponies.
In 1992 I bought a chestnut Tennessee Walking Horse gelding and fell in love with the gait, as time went by I had to put him down from a broken leg, and a few horses later I bought a sorrel Walking Horse mare solely to breed to SPOTS.
Well, hoping for a filly to add to my mare program, we ended up with a stud colt and we named him Stormy. He was a wonderful calm stud colt, and as time went by I decided to keep him a stallion and breed him to the rest of my mares, hoping for more SPOTS, and to raise my painted ponies, I now have quite a few horses and loving it more and more everyday. I now stand 2 stallions and should have four babies this year, and more to come next year.
I started the overnight horse boarding because, there were so many people who like myself like to ride and travel. I live in a tourist area and people like to bring their horses to ride, and also go boating, shopping and play on the lake without having to keep a watch on their horses, so my dream has become bigger.
Please take a look if you are planning a trip.
